These general terms and conditions are available on the Website and are brought to the attention of any individual or legal entity making a reservation or purchase via a mandatory checkbox during the booking or purchasing process. The Client undertakes to inform all Players of the internal regulations and these general terms and conditions.
These general terms and conditions can also be freely consulted upon request at the reception desk of Prison Island Côte d’Opale.

Article 2 – Conditions for Participation in an Activity
To ensure the safety of Players during Prison Island Activities, each Player must comply with the following conditions. Participation in an Activity implies the acknowledgment and acceptance by each Player (or responsible accompanying adult) of the following conditions:
• Minimum age requirement: 8 years old, with:
o For children under 10 years old: Mandatory participation of at least one responsible adult Player per team with children under 10.
o For youths aged 10 to 15 inclusive: Mandatory presence of a responsible adult accompanying them within the Prison Island Côte d’Opale center throughout the duration of the Activity and ancillary services.
Prison Island Côte d’Opale staff reserves the right to request identification to verify the age of the Player(s).
• Not being pregnant (this condition is a recommendation, but participation is possible by avoiding physical and acrobatic challenges).
• Not being under medical treatment and not having heart problems.
• Not suffering from claustrophobia or epilepsy (Players are never locked in and can exit any room at any time).
• Not being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, narcotics, or tranquilizers.
• Being in good physical condition and not having any medical contraindications for sports activities or joint problems.
• Having a good knowledge of one’s abilities and physical limits. Each Player is solely responsible for assessing their capability to attempt certain challenges.
• Players with visual or hearing impairments may access the Adventure Park if they are part of a group with at least one non-disabled Player per team of 3 or 4. They must identify themselves at the reception upon registration. Some Prison Island challenges are not suitable for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility, as they involve quick movement, climbing, or crawling. Therefore, the cells are not specifically adapted for persons with reduced mobility (PRM). However, the reception, restrooms, and snack bar areas are fully accessible.
Prison Island Côte d’Opale reserves the right to deny access to the facility to any person who does not meet the participation conditions, without any right to refund or compensation, as a safety measure for that person and their surroundings.

• Access to the Adventure Park is exclusively reserved for Players.
• Taking photos or filming the Adventure Park and its equipment is prohibited without prior written authorization from Prison Island Côte d’Opale. Mobile phones and other audio/video devices are not allowed within the Adventure Park and may be damaged or lost during the Activity.

Article 4 – Services and Responsibilities of Prison Island Côte d’Opale
In accordance with Article L. 111-1 of the Consumer Code, the essential characteristics of services sold by Prison Island Côte d’Opale and the applicable public prices are available on the Website and at the reception of the Center. Prices are listed per person in euros (€), all taxes included (TTC). The Company reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, with Activities or ancillary services billed at the rate in effect at the time of reservation.
The Prison Island adventure is designed for teams of 3 to 4 Players. It is possible to participate with only 2 Players, but some challenges may be more difficult, and the maximum score may not be achievable. It is not recommended to play with 5 Players. Groups of more than 5 Players will be automatically divided into teams of 3 or 4 participants.
Players in the same group must check in at the Center’s reception at least 15 minutes before the Activity starts. Activities cannot begin more than 15 minutes late; otherwise, Players may be rescheduled based on availability or have their playtime shortened.
Prison Island Côte d’Opale disclaims all liability for damage, loss, or theft of personal belongings. Clients are advised not to bring valuable items.
The Company reserves the right to cancel reservations due to force majeure events, such as strikes, fire, water damage, or public restrictions. In such cases, alternative dates may be offered but no liability will be assumed for cancellations.
The Company shall only be held liable for damages caused by a breach of its contractual obligations. For this purpose, Prison Island Côte d’Opale holds a Professional Civil Liability Insurance Policy with AREAS. This policy covers bodily injury, material, and immaterial damages caused by its fault, error, or negligence in the course of its professional activities.
Article 5 – Booking, Modification & Cancellation, Payment for Individuals
Booking an Activity for a specific date and time is primarily done through the Company’s Website, where availability is updated in real-time. A booking is only firm and final after a 25% deposit has been paid and the Client has received the booking confirmation email, which includes details such as the chosen Activity, total price, expected number of participants, and the selected date and time slots. Prison Island Côte d’Opale reserves the right to refuse any booking request that appears abnormal, made in bad faith, or from a Client who has not settled all previous charges for Activities and additional services, or from a Client with a history of damages or violence within Prison Island Côte d’Opale.
The Client must inform us as soon as possible of any booking modifications or cancellations via phone, email, or the website’s contact form. Modifications are subject to availability. On the day of the Activity, if the minimum required number of Players is not met (e.g., birthday parties, corporate seminars, venue privatization, VIP services), Prison Island Côte d’Opale will require payment for the minimum number of participants needed for the Activity or may refuse access to the Players.
Full payment for the booking must be made before the start of the Activity. Accepted payment methods on-site include bank cards (Carte Bleue, Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard), ANCV holiday vouchers, and cash. Failure to pay the full amount will result in access being denied to all Players. Specific rates and discounts will be applied at the time of payment, upon presentation of the necessary documents at reception (e.g., ID card, student card, etc.). Discounts cannot be combined.
A deposit will be required by Prison Island Côte d’Opale for any booking, particularly to prevent unnecessary blocking of time slots that could have been offered to other clients or to secure certain additional services that involve equipment, beverages, snacks, private spaces, or any other special arrangements. In such cases, the booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit. In the event of a Client cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable to cover processing fees and any expenses incurred for the originally booked Activity and/or service, or the loss of potential revenue if the blocked time slot could not be used by other clients.
If the Client cancels, the non-refundable deposit will be retained but can be carried over for up to 6 months for a future Activity date.
Article 6 – Booking, Modification & Cancellation, Payment for Corporate Groups, Schools, Leisure Centers, Associations, Public Authorities, etc.
Bookings are made based on a quote according to the Client's needs (Prison Island Activity, additional or customized services, etc.). Acceptance of the quote by the Client constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these general terms and conditions. The booking is guaranteed and confirmed upon receipt of a deposit (by bank transfer, check, or credit card) equivalent to 25% of the total quoted amount (incl. VAT). The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days after the completed Activity, extended to 45 days for public authorities.
If the Client cancels, the non-refundable deposit will be retained but can be carried over for up to 6 months for a future Activity date.
If the Client cancels less than 72 hours before the scheduled Activity, the full amount of the service as per the accepted quote is due.
Any modifications to the Activity, additional services, date and/or time, number of Players, or accompanying persons must be requested and approved by Prison Island Côte d’Opale at least 4 days before the scheduled Activity. If the venue is not fully privatized, modification requests will be considered based on availability. This deadline is extended to 8 days in cases involving food orders (catering, birthday cakes, on-site meals, etc.). Beyond this period, the Company will charge the Client according to the accepted quote.
Prison Island Côte d’Opale will not issue any refunds for payments made in the event of Client cancellation.
In case of late or non-payment within 30 days of the invoice date, the Client must pay Prison Island Côte d’Opale late interest at a rate of 10% per month started, plus a fixed charge of €40 for collection costs, without the need for a reminder. The penalty becomes payable the day after the 30-day due date stated on the invoice. This period is extended to 45 days for public authorities.
Article 7 – Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to service contracts that specify a particular date or period of execution.
For gift vouchers and gift cards, the Client has a withdrawal period in accordance with Article L. 221-21 of the French Consumer Code, without the need to provide reasons or pay penalties. This period is:
14 days from the date the gift voucher is received in the Client’s email inbox (for distance sales). To exercise this right, the Client must inform Prison Island Côte d’Opale of their decision by mail to the registered office address at Boulevard de l’Europe, 62231 Coquelles, or by email at contact@prisonisland-cotedopale.com before the legal deadline expires.
3 days from the purchase date (for in-person sales). Any delivery or return costs remain the Client’s responsibility.
A refund for the gift voucher or gift card will only be processed after verifying that it has not been used.
Article 8 – Protection of Personal Data
Any booking, purchase, or participation in an Activity involves the collection and processing of personal data by Prison Island Côte d’Opale. Thus, the Client or Player agrees that the Company may process, store, and transmit their personal data under the conditions set out in the “Privacy and Data Management Policy” of Prison Island Côte d’Opale. If the data is not provided or is incorrect, Prison Island Côte d’Opale may not be able to provide the Activity and its related services. The Client is responsible for the accuracy of the information entered in the online booking form on the Website.
The Client has the right to access, modify, rectify, and delete personal data concerning them (in accordance with the new Data Protection and Liberties Act published in the Official Journal on June 21, 2018). To do so, they must send a request to Prison Island Côte d’Opale by mail or email, accompanied by proof of identity, the subject of the request, and a valid email address for receiving a response.
For more information on how Prison Island Côte d’Opale manages and protects personal data, please refer to the dedicated “Privacy and Data Management Policy” page on the Website.
Article 9 – Intellectual Property Rights
The Website and its elements (texts, videos, images, logos, etc.) are the exclusive property of Prison Island Côte d’Opale SARL CASEVVA. Any use, reproduction, distribution, commercialization, or modification of all or part of the Website and/or its elements without the express authorization of Prison Island Côte d’Opale is prohibited and would constitute an infringement under the Intellectual Property Code. This may result in legal action against the offender.
Participation in an Activity does not grant the Player any ownership rights or usage rights over the intellectual property elements of Prison Island Côte d’Opale without prior written authorization from the company. Prison Island Côte d’Opale owns the decorations and all other components of the Activity. Any reproduction or communication of all or part of these elements is prohibited and may result in legal action for infringement.
Furthermore, to preserve the confidentiality of the Prison Island challenges, the use of photographic, video, and/or audio recording devices (including but not limited to mobile phones and cameras) is strictly prohibited inside the game area. The use of such devices may lead to the immediate and complete termination of the Activity and expulsion from the premises for the entire group of Players. Photos or video recordings are only allowed in the Selfie Cage of the Snack-Bar area.
Prison Island Côte d’Opale expects Players not to disclose details of the challenges, either directly or indirectly.
Article 10 – Image Rights
During the Activity, photos and videos of Players, alone or with their teams, may be taken before, during, and/or after the game session. Players or, where applicable, their legal representatives authorize Prison Island Côte d’Opale and/or any third party acting on its behalf to use and publish these photos and videos to enhance the content of its Website, social networks, or any printed material. This authorization is granted without any compensation, exclusively within the scope of activities operated by CASEVVA. Prison Island Côte d’Opale is not responsible for the use of these photos and/or videos by third parties.
The Prison Island Côte d’Opale center has a video surveillance system that has been authorized by the relevant prefectural authority.
Article 11 – Applicable Law in Case of Complaints and Jurisdiction Assignment
Any complaint regarding the execution of the Activity and related services under these general terms and conditions of sale must be submitted in writing and sent to Prison Island Côte d’Opale, SARL CASEVVA, boulevard de l’Europe, 62231 Coquelles.
In case of a dispute, the parties will make every effort to reach an amicable agreement. If no agreement is reached, the dispute will be brought before the nearest Commercial Court or the competent jurisdiction depending on the nature of the dispute.
I certify that I have read and understood the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the Internal Regulations.
